My art education

I've been involved in art for pretty much my whole life. My parents always stressed a diversity of educational subjects (liberal arts, if you will :) As such, I went to an elementary school which did a lot of art, a middle/high school in which all students took two art courses at all times, and I continued to do artistic stuff into college.

I spent my first two years of college at Lewis & Clark College in Portland. While there, I took three ceramics courses. I really enjoyed two of the three, though the middle one (ceramics II) just contributed to my desire to avoid classes that start before 10 AM . I got a bunch of stuff done in my ceramics III class which I took pictures of. Take a look .

After two years at Lewis & Clark, I transfered to the University of Oregon in Eugene. I transfered because the Computer Science department at Lewis & Clark really isn't up to snuff. Two professors and five workstations is not the way to run a CS program. After ariving here, I realized that I wanted to be a CS/art double major, so I appried to the art school and started taking classes.

At the UO I've taken a bunch of art classes. These include two drawing classes and a week-long intensive watercolor course .

I'm currently (as of November 06, 1998) working on an animation project in my Advanced Animation class. It'll be really cool if we can get it done : )
